<p>The Maxwell RC8-8 12V Windlass offers exceptional performance for anchoring needs, supporting up to 1320lbs of pull. It is designed to be compatible with 8mm (5/16") chain, seamlessly spliced to 14mm (9/16") either three-strand or 8-plait rope.</p><p>Engineered for versatility, the windlass features a unique gypsy that accommodates various chain pitch differences, enhancing its compatibility and functionality. Available in sleek, low-profile designs with MAX-grip capstan drum options, it caters to individual preferences.</p><p>This windlass is easy to install with its two-piece design, allowing for rapid setup and retrofitting without disassembly. It has a unique spacer tube that enables installation through a wide range of deck thicknesses, along with multiple mounting positions and a self-aligning gearbox for optimal placement.</p><p>Constructed from marine-grade 316 stainless steel, the RC8-8 ensures long-term durability. Its heavy-duty pressure arm is designed to securely grasp the rope/chain splice, enhancing its overall performance. Additionally, it boasts a large wire diameter pre-loaded spring for maximum control pressure during operation.</p><p>The RC8-8 operates effectively with all-chain rodes, providing a stylish solution for your foredeck. The windlass features a large through-deck hawse pipe throat for easy entry and exit of the rope/chain into the anchor locker. It incorporates a cone-type clutch/brake mechanism for manual, free-fall anchoring and allows manual override using the included emergency crank handle.</p><p>The sealed oil bath and marine-grade hard anodized alloy gearbox deliver reliable high-efficiency output, while kits come complete with the windlass, an on/off breaker panel, a reversing solenoid, up/down panel switch, and a handle.</p><p>Note: Anchor rode sold separately.</p>
